Meet Your Neighbor

Meet your neighbor Vivalda Roberts. She is originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts.

She loved living there because, “anything you wanted was right around the corner.” She has one brother who lives in New Hampshire with her sister-in-law and niece.

She’s Vivalda’s only niece which makes her her favorite. She went to Cambridge Ridge and Latin High School. They are huge with lots of students from all cultures.

Vivalda has been married for almost 17 years. She met her husband in Boston when he came to visit family.  Vivalda has two kids Taylor and Trey.

She also has a grandson Brantley he’s 11. Taylor enjoys Cheerleading, art, and hanging out with her friends but she absolutely loves seeing her brother and nephew. 

When asked what Vivalda’s favorite family memory was she stated, “when I was younger, it was Thanksgiving. My mom would cook and I would decorate the Christmas tree. After we ate my brother and I would play Playstation.

Now with my own family. I love when I have everyone at home on Thanksgiving.  I cook the meal set out the table.

I always use my fancy wine glasses for apple cider for everyone to drink. After our meal, the kids and I play games, talk, and laugh.”When asked what advice she had for young parents she stated, “to read to your kids and bring them to the library. 

I also encourage taking your kid out of school half day or all day and just go out to do whatever. School is important, but its great to take your kid out of school.

I did that with Taylor just because. We had a blast.” Vivalda works at the LaHarpe Carnegie Public Library.  Her hobbies include, doing crafts, reading, gardening, watching TV, and going out with friends.
