A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon at Stronghurst Collision and Repair on Commercial Street in Stronghurst.
The blaze sent thick black smoke billowing above the town, drawing a large crowd of onlookers.
The MST Fire Protection District responded to the fire, with assistance from the Biggsville, Gladstone, and Raritan fire departments, as well as the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department.
The fire started around 3:30 p.m., and crews remained on the scene well into the night.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
