The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
The Henderson County Health Department is pleased to announce Josie Lair as its new administrator.
With 21 years of experience as a nurse, Josie brings extensive knowledge and a strong personal connection to the community she now serves.
Josie has worked in a wide range of healthcare settings, including inpatient acute care, emergency services, post-surgical care, critical care, wound care, and ambulatory care.
She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove.
In addition to her clinical background, Josie is actively involved in state and national nursing associations and volunteers with many local organizations and groups.
Originally from Warren County, Josie is a graduate of Alexis High School and maintains close family ties to Henderson County.
She currently lives in Monmouth and is a mother to four grown and mostly grown children.
Her appointment carries special significance: one of Josie’s very first jobs many years ago was working as a Homemaker for the Henderson County Health Department (HCHD). Now she returns to lead the organization where her career began.
Josie is genuinely excited to serve the residents of Henderson County. In her new role, she is eager to build on the department’s longstanding commitment to promoting health, safety, and well-being through services such as home health, WIC, senior support, environmental health, and community education.
Welcome, Josie! The Henderson County community is fortunate to have such an experienced, dedicated, and locally rooted leader at the helm of its Health Department.
