The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Stronghurst Grain and Merchandise has a new grain leg. The old leg was damaged in May due to a grain dust explosion and was dismantled in mid-June.
The new leg, completed this week, was installed by Western Illinois Agri-Systems with Red Barn Electric handling the electrical work. Since the damage occurred during the off-season, there were no setbacks, as all bins could still be unloaded.
The 2.2-million-bushel facility will be fully operational for this harvest season.
