The La Harpe City Council met at the La Harpe Club house at 7 p.m. on November 10th.
Present were Mayor Kat Hasten-Reed, City Treasurer Monalisa Graves, City Clerk Lucretia McPeak, council members: Dave Clover, Jeff McDowell, Marvin Miller, Jim Lenix, Todd Stevens, and Randy Shumaker. Also present was city employees Tim Graves, David Little, Trevor Finch, Tanner Smith; guests Jeanette Ford, Vivaldi Roberts and Michael Rodeffer.
The La Harpe City Council officially voted unanimously to hire Trevor Finch as a street department employee at $43,000 per year. November 10th was Finch’s first day of work.
The council discussed the LRS contract with no action taken.
Council also discussed the Ordinance for Acquisition of Real Estate (Kienast Building which was the old nursing home building). Council decided to check if past property taxes would be forgiven before taking any action.
