On November 15, One Family One Purpose hosted its 15th annual benefit auction at the Annex in La Harpe, drawing a strong crowd of supporters for a day of fellowship, food, and generous giving.
The event kicked off with lunch served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the live auction at 1:00 p.m., expertly led by auctioneer Jim Sullivan.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of donors, bidders, and volunteers, the auction raised more than $55,000, with 100% of proceeds going directly toward building materials for the organization’s 2025 disaster-relief project in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
One Family One Purpose is a Christ-centered nonprofit that connects willing hearts with families and individuals in crisis, particularly those affected by natural disasters. Every home the ministry builds is fully funded and constructed by volunteers who serve in the name of Jesus Christ.
“We believe that when the body of Christ comes together to serve, lives are changed – not only the lives of those being served, but also the lives of the men and women who selflessly reach out,” the organization states.
Drawing inspiration from Mark 10:45 – “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” – the ministry seeks to model Christ’s example of humble service while meeting emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.
More than distributors of funds, One Family One Purpose is a united body of believers committed to giving a voice to the voiceless and shining a light on those who are suffering.
