Citizens from all over the community took advantage of the beautiful evening and headed down to the firehouse for delicious pancakes, good fellowship and to support their local volunteer firemen.
A free will offering was accepted at the door for all-you- can-eat pancakes and sausage.
There were door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Wesley Cheely of Burlington, IA , formerly of Stronghurst, was the lucky winner this year.
