Henco Hustle 12U Wrap up Successful Summer Campaign

The Henco Hustle 12U baseball team wrapped up a highly successful season by taking first place in the 65th Annual BBQ 12U Tournament in Abingdon on Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13.

The Hustle went 5-0 in the tournament to claim the top spot and their sixth tournament championship of the summer.

The Hustle battled teams from Northeast Iowa to Central Illinois, finishing the summer with an overall record of 37-7-1.

They were ranked number one in the nation by the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) in 12U Class A Baseball.

USSSA Baseball emphasizes the development of programs that allow teams of all skill levels to compete, fostering player growth through national and regional tournament play.

It aims to provide opportunities for players who might otherwise be excluded due to skill level, offering a structured yet inclusive competitive environment.

The Class A Division emphasizes player growth over high-stakes competition, offering a platform for teams to build confidence and teamwork.

It’s ideal for community-based or local travel teams, like the Henco Hustle 12U, which achieved a remarkable 37-7-1 record and a national number-one ranking in this division.

The Hustle’s success not only celebrates their achievements but also exemplifies the dedication of players, coaches, and parents, setting a strong foundation for their future in baseball.
