Liberty Jayne Miller of Oquawka graduated from Air Force Basic Training at Lackland AFB, San Antonia, Texas on June 4th and 5th.
She has finished her freshman year at St. Ambrose College and doing Air Force reserves with one year prior with monthly weekend trainings at Scott Air Force Base, O’Fallon, until basic training was scheduled in Texas.
Those attending the ceremonies were Jim and Shannon Miller, Oquawka; Mark, Tricia, and Luke Thomas, Galesburg; Diana Kelly, grandmother; Caitlyn Stewart and CadenceIPlaster. Liberty has additional phases of training at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas and will return to Illinois in November and continue college classes at St. Ambrose.
While in San Antonio her grandmother insisted on taking “The Quill” along for photos.
One is following the graduation ceremony and Libby requested a seafood boil so “The Quill” was also at the table.
