The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Quoting John Wooden-the best college basketball coach of all time. “Success is peace of mind, which is the result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable.”
I first met Bobbi Tapscott as a mother trying to raise her family while her husband finished his career in the service.
The conversation was like “Son, Mr. Clifton is a fair man if he needs to call me to school again we will pull your down and spank you til can’t sit down. ( I never had a need to call her again).
The last conversation I had with Bobbi went something like this. “Mr. Clifton I wanted you to know I have just resigned from Oakwood.”
I was shocked at the news and began to recall what Bobbi Tapscott had meant to our community. From C.N.A to lead C.N.A. to Administrator of Oakwood Assisted Living.
In life it isn’t what you do, but how you do it that counts, and Bobbi did it as well as anyone could possibly do it, and did it for over 30 years.
Reader’s Digest for many years, had a monthly story entitled, “The most unforgettable person I have ever known”.
In the many years I have served the people of Henderson County, Bobbi Tapscott would right up at the top of my most unforgettable.
I have had the very special privilege to call my work associate and my very special, very admired and most successful friend.
Know one should ever doubt that Bobbi Tapscott has been a total success, I can only think about how lucky we were!
