La Harpe Celebrates America

Laura Wilhite, The Quill

On Friday La Harpe had their annual 4th of July celebration. The Fire Department served breakfast to the community at the clubhouse.

The morning was filled with fun activities for all ages which included a kids block race, a water balloon and egg toss, and a kids tractor pull. The pool had free admission all day courtesy of the La Harpe Park District.

Food For Thought sponsored a foam party, water slide inflatables, an inflatable obstacle course and a bouncy house on the football field. The Lion’s Club served pork chops, ribeyes, and hotdogs by the press box. Food For Thought served pie, ice cream, and freedom pops. At dusk hundreds of people enjoyed the firework display that is sponsored by the La Harpe Park District.
