The regularly scheduled monthly meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.

Answering roll call were: Dave Clover, Marvin Miller, Randy Shumaker, Todd Stevens, Jim Lenix, Treasurer-Monalisa Graves, City Clerk-Lucretia McPeak, and Mayor Katherine Hasten-Reed. Amanda Donaldson was absent.

Also present: Tim Graves, and Dan Gillett. Everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Committee reports:

Public properties reported there will be an expense for the Dodge.

Other reports:

City Clerk McPeak reported on Motor Fuel Tax bills. She asked council to approve appropriating funds from MFT to pay: Midwest Express & Hay Grinding - $103.11; and Central Stone Company - $136.25.

Shumaker made the motion to appropriate funds from MFT to pay: Midwest Express & Hay Grinding - $103.11; and Central Stone Company - $136.25. Clover seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

Treasurer Graves reported on a bill for postage after the bills were posted.

Attorney Scholz was out sick, but has been working on IMEG, the property on B Street and the Hilton property.

Old Business:

Clover made the motion to approve the Treasurer’s report and pay bills. Stevens seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

The moving of the Hospital sign will be on the next agenda.

A notice has been mailed to the owner of the property at 101 N B Street. This will be on the next agenda.

There was no action needed on semi’s idling in residential areas.

There was discussion on updating/amending Ordinances. It will be on the next agenda to discuss and take action to hire an Ordinance Enforcement Officer. This would need to be someone to write Ordinance tickets and enforce them in court.

Clover made the motion to approve Midwest Meters for the water program. Stevens seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

New Business:

There was no action needed to purchase a new laptop for the Treasurer. She has one already.

Shumaker made the motion to adjourn the regular meeting. Clover seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

The regular council meeting adjourned at 7:29 pm.
