On Saturday, August 2, the La Harpe Classic Car Show rolled into the city park. Now in its 26th year, the show continues to draw car enthusiasts from across the country to celebrate classic and high-performance vehicles, paying tribute to the area’s rich automotive history.
What began as a modest gathering in La Harpe’s park over two decades ago has grown into a major regional event, previously hosted at the local golf course for 18 years before returning to the city park last year.
The show features a stunning array of classic cars and trucks, with 145!vehicles judged this year.
Organized by dedicated volunteers, the event fosters a family-friendly atmosphere with food, memorabilia, and craft vendors.
Proceeds support charitable causes, including Honor Flights for veterans, La Harpe Girl Scouts, La Harpe Jr. High Girls Basketball, and the Hancock County Republican Women.
The La Harpe Classic Car Show remains a testament to community spirit and automotive history, attracting “true car guys” and families alike.
