Diana Doran of Doran Insurance & Services, Inc. was present at the Village of Stronghurst board meeting held November 4th to go over the proposed insurance renewal for next year. The total building and contents limit was set at $6,055,875, which is an increase of $2,350,249 from last year. The trustees voted unanimously to accept the insurance at a cost of $21,450.
Ronnie Gittings reported they had 30 new water meters to install, with one broken shut off. He also stated the septic tank out front had been disconnected and sealed off. He also reported the well level was at 35 feet, 40 foot is the maximum.
Mayor Brendan Schaley had checked with the company regarding the new water tower inspection that was agreed to in the beginning. Since new employees has been hired, it has been overlooked and is set to be done in 2025.
The next board meeting will be Monday, December 2nd at 6:00 p.m.
