The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
We invite you to join us for the kick off of the Christmas Season with a traditional small town holiday experience! Our Annual Stronghurst Christmas Open House will take place on Friday, November 22nd from 5 until 7 p.m.
Businesses will be open with special discounts and lots of delicious treats! You can quite literally eat your way through town! Stronghurst Collision and Repair has generously sponsored our horse drawn wagon rides this year. You will find the wagon stops by the Stronghurst (MST) Fire Station and by Security Saving Bank. Rachael Gipe and Sally Waddell, Country Financial Agency has generously sponsored Santa Claus, whom you will find in the Moore Building beside the American Legion! Be sure to stop in to see Santa and sign your kids up for the gift drawings!
You will find multiple local entities in the Senior Citizens Center and the American Legion. Riverland FS, Quilts and More, Hershberger’s Bakery, Ellen May The Pie Lady and more will be in the old H & H building! There will be a Kiddie Tractor Pull in the Flatt Building and kids’ activities in the MST Fire Station! You'll be glad to know Scrooge Ashton will be back at The Quill.
The West Central Music Department will have students caroling throughout the evening and there will be a special performance by the West Central Middle School Cheerleaders. Norm and his barrel rides will be on Broadway Street as always! We also will have our wreath scavenger hunt throughout the businesses. You can pick up your scavenger hunt cards that evening at any of the participating businesses or in the American Legion from the Stronghurst Booster Club table! Visit all participating businesses and hunt for the special ornaments in their wreaths. Return completed cards to the Santa Mailbox in front of the American Legion. Scavenger Hunt winners will be awarded gingerbread house kits from the Henderson County Library!
Maps for our event will be available for your convenience on the Stronghurst Booster Club Facebook page or in print from Fisher’s Food Center or Security Savings Bank.
