The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Veterans Terry Avery of Gladstone and his son Scott Avery near Peoria, took The Quill Along to Washington D.C. and saw many of the memorials there.
Terry said, "I’m so proud to be an American and live in the greatest country on earth. Men and women who have served in the military are the reason our country is free.
"November 11th has been a day dedicated to remember and honor our Veterans.
"I am a US Marine veteran and I was privileged to be on the Honor Flight to Washington DC. Our son, Scott was my escort. He served in the Marine Corp, while our daughter, Stacie served in the Navy. Both joined after graduation from Union High School, now West Central. After serving 4 years, they completed four years of college in their chosen field. We recommend this choice to all young people.
"God bless America and God bless our Vets!"
When you travel, take "The Quill" along and have your picture taken with it, and then send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
