Looking Into Possibility of a Cafe in Biggsville

New business reported that someone is looking into the possibility of opening a café in Biggsville. They are doing some research to see if it is feasible.

The March 6th meeting of the Biggsville Village Board was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Eric Craig with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Kathie made a motion to accept the invoices, minutes and treasure report, Tammy 2nd, motion carried.

Streets/Water: The engineer came and looked at the sidewalk in front of the Post Office and he will work up a bid to see how much it will cost to replace the sidewalk and work on the drainage in front.

The engineer and Mike estimated how much cold patch, sand, riprap and aggregate we might need for this year. Jamie made a motion to accept the resolution to purchase the materials using MTF funds, Tammy 2nd, motion carried. Zach reported that the tractor is getting fixed.

Parks: There will be ballgames played at the ballpark this summer. There is a team already practicing. Jamie reported it would cost approximately $1840.00 to replace all the lights in the ballpark. Jamie is looking into what it would cost to repair the scoreboard and how much a new one would cost.

Old Business: Stephanie made a motion to pass Ordinance #554 to vacate the Bridge from the Village of Biggsville and to accept the BNSF agreement. Jamie 2nd, motion carried.

There was continued discussion on using the bank building as a Village Hall.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
