Big River Resources Reports 20 Years of Success With A Bright Future Ahead

by Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher/Owner

At the Pzazz Convention Center in Burlington, IA, guest speaker Geoff Cooper, CEO and President of the Renewable Fuel Association (RFA), addressed shareholders of Big River Resources (BRR) with top questions in the biofuel industry:

It was the 20th year for BRR and shareholders had a lot of successes to celebrate since their formation and first days of producing ethanol in 2004. Chief Operating Officer Deb Green opened the event asking shareholders and attendees to raise their hand if they were at the first BRR Cooperative meeting at the Burlington Auditorium in 2004? Many raised their hands. Then she asked who had attended all twenty meetings, and many put their hands down, although most had made the majority of the 20 meetings. Deb shared a brief history from organization to today and then ran a short video that was presented recently at the Burlington Greater Area Partnership when they were named 2023 Manufacturer of The Year.

Big River financial officers reported 2023 was the most profitable year yet and CEO Dave Zimmerman gave a detailed report on all aspects of the year's happening and the bright future as their sales and productions increase and as they prepare for the aviation fuel market.

Big River Resources Cooperative was built to help bring value to corn, helping farmers and rural communities. Around 350 attended the meeting held March 7th in Burlington, Iowa.
