Stronghurst Boosters Club Approves Yard of the Month Award

At the Stronghurst Boosters Club meeting it was approved that once a month one Stronghurst resident will be awarded bragging rights and a Yard Of the Month sign to be displayed. The Booster Club will vote on one well kept, beautiful looking yard within the community.

The Stronghurst Boosters Club meeting was called to order at 4:33 p.m. on June 10th. The May minutes were reviewed individually, addendum to be added: on 5/25/24 vote approved via text message by the majority to pay for the T-shirts ordered for the Doc Pogue Run.

In other action the board approved:

• the May minutes and Treasurers report.
• to write a check to the Village for the remaining balance in the Veterans Memorial account.
• reimbursement to Christine for a Canva invoice for $12.99 used for advertising for the Farmers Market.
• Motion approved for payment to Fishers for bottled water for the run, and to Johnson Plumbing for opening of the spray park.
• Doc Pogue Run was on May 25th 2024. The run was a success again this year. Thank you to all that were involved!
• Park: Watering schedule sign up is available.
• Farmers Market: July 1st will be art at the market night. All local artists are welcome to attend to showcase their work.

New Business:

Ideas for the spray park fundraiser: With the Doc Pogue run completing its final year, discussion took place regarding a new fundraiser to help with the costs of the spray park. Ideas included to have another 5K run with a different name and the proceeds to go towards the spray park and park in general. There will be a continued discussion at the next meeting.
