I am so upset with our Governor and those tricky, no-sense-at-all politicans in Springfield who voted us such a hideous painful tax hike again in their newest budget!
Just when I had saved up to buy a new hat, those reckless spenders are going to take my savings away.
I think we better vote them all out of office and send them back to school if they even passed Math class the first time. They sure do not know how to live without going into debt or passing lots of laws.
Nice thing about working for the government and making your own rules, whenever you reach in your pocket and can't buy a new hat, you can just vote yourself a raise or pass a budget that includes an item for hats and charge it to us the taxpaper, and we have no say. Things are better when those bust-the-bank politicans just stay home so they can't pass something else that's going to make our residents even worse off.
Every time they meet, they pass lots of new laws as if we don't have enough. They mandate things for schools but offer no funding so officials feel they must raise taxes, too. They've made laws to fasten your seat belt in a car or you get a ridiculous fine for not keeping yourself safe but they let people looting stores and breaking windows go free. We can just put our brain on the shelf and let the government do our thinking by passing laws. Next I supppose it will be, "No riding a bucking bronco or bull riding, without a seat belt," or no car racing faster than 55mph, or a law where we will have to eat our vegetables, fruit, bread, dairy and protein from all 5 food groups, 3 times a day, or we'll be fined and hauled off to jail.
People in Springfield and Washington sure have things backwards. Who would ever think they'd defund the police, or let immigrants run people out of their own homes!
In Illinois 60 of 75 democrats approved more than $1.1 billion in revenue increases to balance the $53.1 billion spending plan for fiscal year 2025. Raming another tax increase down our throats has really gotten me in the tea party mood! The U.S. government has to date, spent $3.82 trillion in fiscal year 2024!
The 2023 U.S. figures are:
Remove eight zeros and imagine it's a family budget:
New credit card debt. $16,900. Outstanding balance $301,000. Total budget cuts are $200.
Cornelius Farkwad said the boys at the coffee shop put it simply.
"Let's say you come home from work, find there's been a sewer backup in your neighborhood and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.
What do you think you should do? Raise the ceilings, or remove the stinkers? I think I know the answer.
I can't wait until Election Day to vote!
Have a good day folks, with no money!
