The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Henderson County Olde Tymers recently held their annual Father’s Day tractor ride.
Starting near Media, they traveled to Monmouth and back which is a 60-mile round trip. On the way, they made a stop to tour the Bigger Buck Outfitter’s compound (a very impressive place).
Their destination in Monmouth was the Stoneware Museum owned by Ray and Cindy Brinkman.
A swap meet and stoneware fest was the order of the day.
The Olde Tymers exhibited the 21 tractors that had made the trip. A complimentary lunch was provided to the group.
If you have any interest in the stoneware that was manufactured in Monmouth, you should put this museum on your bucket list.
It was a beautiful day which provided an excellent opportunity to observe the corn and bean crops at a 12 mile per hour pace.
On return to the starting point, the group enjoyed cookies and ice cream. The $10 entry fees were all donated to F.O.C.C.
