PACT for West Central Illinois Announces New Executive Director

Camp Point - The Board of Directors of PACT for West Central Illinois is pleased to announce that Sara Mixer will be the agency’s next Executive Director, following Shanna Edison’s retirement December 2023.

Sara Mixer has been in the employ of PACT, starting as a Family Advocate in 2010 and as the Family & Community Services Coordinator in 2013. She has served on the Illinois Head Start Association Board and been involved in Head Start in our local area and beyond.

She wants the agency to succeed as she ensures that the mission, vision and philosophy of PACT will be sustained and developed. She has been an invaluable asset to parents and community agencies across our eight-county service area, in her career in social services.

“PACT has a long-standing history of providing quality services in West Central Illinois and I look forward to supporting our staff and collaborating with current and new community partners so we can continue our mission. Through teamwork and innovation, we will continue to offer comprehensive services that promote the positive development of children and personal growth in families.

“Sara is the right person to lead PACT to continue to be a leader in the Head Start program, as well as early childhood education. PACT has always been a strong community partner serving the area’s most vulnerable families with young children, and this will continue with her promotion,” said Ms. Edison, retiring Executive Director.
