West Central Girls Earn LTC Championship Title

The girls basketball team at West Central High School finished out the regular season with two more wins in the Lincoln Trail Conference last week winning the conference title outright with a record of 11 wins and no losses in conference play.

First the Heat traveled to Woodhall to face the Ridgewood Spartans on Monday night and walked away with a win 70-40.

Harlee Hainds and Shelby Bowman each scored an impressive 29 points.

Hainds had a double-double with 12 rebounds, 7 steals, and 1 assist.

Bowman picked up 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists.

Sam Meyer chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists.

Addie Seitz scored 1 point, and had 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Brooklyn Miller grabbed 1 rebound and

Miley Stimpson had 1 steal.

KNOXVILLE

Wednesday night Knoxville traveled to the Fire Pit to see Harlee Hainds score a career-high of 30 points. Harlee had her second double-double of the week with 12 boards, 3 steals, and 1 assist.

Shelby Bowman also earned a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, and 1 assist.

Sam Meyer scored 7 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and had 1 assist.

Addie Seitz chipped in 6 points, and had 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 steal.

Brooklyn Miller picked up 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal, while Miley Stimpson had 5 rebounds.

The final score was 61-29 in favor of the Heat. The win against Knoxville marked 20 regular season wins for the Heat as well as secured their title as LTC Champions going undefeated in conference play. The team begins regional play at Princeville High School.
