Village of Biggsville Reports On Shelter Progress August

At the August 7th board meeting, it was announced that the shelter is still in the process of being removed.

The regular meeting was called to order by Mayor Eric Craig at 6:00 p.m. with all reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

The board unanimously accepted the minutes, treasurer report and the invoices.

Street/Water

We need to order more coal patch. Mike will check with another engineer to see if we can get a quote on the drainage problem in front of the Post Office. Mike will get a quote on the sidewalk at the Post Office.

Zoning

Two zoning permits were reported, one was for a deck, the other for a fence.

Public Relations

November 26th there will be wine, arts, vendors and music at The Barn. Eric Petit Lion band will be performing.

Parks and Recreation

The infield at Lindo Park was sprayed for weeds..

Old Business

They will be starting the project at Gibb’s soon. They have all the materials ready to go. Eric will check with the scouts to see if they would like to do a project at Lindo Field next year.

New Business

August 17th at 2:00 p.m., there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at Reid Park for the Girl Scout project. Please plan to attend. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR WATER/SEWER BILL AT THE BANK!! FRONT DOOR IS OPEN FOR DEPOSITS ONLY.

Members present were Stephanie Craig, Kathie Curtiss, James McCabe, Tammy Slater and Chris Webb. Casie Goff was absent. Others present were Eric Craig, Mayor; Judy Gravgaard, Clerk; Marilyn Simmons, Treasurer and Mike West, Maintenance.

The board adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
