Nick's Extra Touch With Tomatoes?

Nick Roark, of Media, retired janitor at West Central and Southern schools, has found a hobby he is passionate about–growing tomatoes. This year he expanded the stretch between the cornfield and his garage to 113 tomato plants - enough for everyone, pretty much. He has four or five varieties he bought from the Amish–not sure what kinds, but says "they're the best!" He stems and washes each one by hand and says people come from near and far to buy them at $1.50 per pound and $3 a quart for the cherry tomatoes. He is always at the Stronghurst Farmers Market (this Monday) in front of Be Still Yoga, beside the Feed Lot Grill.
