The Village of Biggsville meeting was called to order on October 4th, at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Eric Craig with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Public Forum: There were several possibilities for the use of the bank building. All ideas will be taken into consideration.
Streets/Water: Jones Septic Service fixed a problem with a resident in the village. We have someone who would like to take down the shelter at the ballpark. It was discussed and everyone agreed. Eric will let him know to go ahead with the project. Mike put gravel in at worthy acres and it has helped.
Public Relations: Beautify Biggsville has a lot of activities and vendors for the upcoming Fall For Biggsville event, on October 21, 2023 on Main Street. There will be picnic tables provided. Mike will put up barriers on each end of the street. Trunk or Treat will be on the east end of the street.
Parks: Casey is having a tournament at the ballpark on the 14th of October.
Old Business: The railroad is ready to move forward with removing the bridge from Bridge St. Stephanie made a motion to vacate the bridge out of the village. Kathie 2nd, motion carried. Chris will get some more concrete barriers to shore up both sides of the bridge.
New Business: We will have the wiener roast on October 31, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Reid Park. Trick or treating will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
