La Harpe Country Christmas Returns

The La Harpe Country Christmas celebration will return to town on Tuesday, December 5th. The evening will include an exciting line-up of events.

Visitors may begin with a vendor blender, taking place in the La Harpe Christian Church gymnasium from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dining options include the 4-H soup supper, available for a free will donation, in the Union Church Fellowship Hall, and selections from the Annex Food Truck in the city park.

Also in the Union Church Fellowship Hall will be the annual Festival of Trees and Sweet Shoppe, organized by the La Harpe PEO.

Several local businesses will be conducting open houses from 5-7 p.m.

Guests who fill a “Business Bingo” card by visiting all participating businesses will be entered in a drawing for prizes donated by local merchants.

Wagon rides, Santa visits, new Christmas light displays sponsored by local businesses, and complimentary hot chocolate, popcorn, children’s ornament making, and face painting will be taking place in the city park,

A new attraction in the park this year is a musical performance by the group “Living Water” from 5-6 p.m..

A local sheriff’s deputy will be in town accepting donations of new toys or non-perishable food for “Stuff the Squad Car”.

The evening’s events will conclude with a lighted parade at 7 p.m.

Community members are encouraged to join in the fun by entering the lighted golf cart/UTV competition with prizes to be awarded for 1st and 2nd place.

First and second place will have their choice of a pool party certificate to be used in the summer of 2024 at the La Harpe pool or a beef bundle donated by Rockin D’ on the Ridge.
