Travis Shafer, son of Brad and Charlotte Shafer, of Biggsville recently earned his Doctorate of Ministry after several years of study. Travis grew up in Biggsville and graduated from high school there. He completed the necessary education to become an ordained Presbyterian pastor....and was ordained in his home church in Biggsville.
He has pastored a Presbyterian Church in Omro, Wisconsin for several years as he worked on his studies to earn his Doctorate.
He stood for his exams early this month .....and received his Doctorate of Ministry on May 12th from the Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. He will be preaching at his home church, Biggsville United Presbyterian Church, on Mother's Day with his family all present. This will be his first sermon since receiving his Doctorate.
Travis is married and the father of one child.
