Stronghurst Boosters report their March Bingo Night was a Success

At the Stronghurst Booster Club meeting Monday, March 13th, members hear that Bingo Night was successful held on March 10th with around 96 people in attendance and $128 collected from donations. There were lots of good feedback in the community about the event.

The treasurer’s report included the $128 from Bingo night donations was deposited to the general account and $7.60 paid to Fishers for cleaning supplies.

A discussion took place regarding the money in the Health Services money market account and pros and cons of moving some of the money into a CD. This will be discussed further at the next meeting. The treasurer’s report was approved.

There is a bill from Fishers for $80 for the food served at the Bingo Night that the group voted unanimously to pay.

Farmers Market Dates are as follows: May 22, June 5, June 19, July 10, July 24, Aug 7, Aug 21, Sept 11. All dates are Monday evenings from 5-7 p.m. The village approved using barricades to block off Broadway street from Fishers to H&H feed for the Farmers Markets. Amanda has been busy collecting vendor information

Non-profit status: Discussion took place regarding pursuing this status but no decisions were made.

The Stronghurst Booster Club will celebrate 50 years this year and have decided to plan a day at the park in celebration on June 3rd. Discussion took place as to activities and plans for the event. Please bring ideas to the next meeting!

The membership committee plans to visit businesses on March 21st. Keep a look out on social media for ways to sign up as a member or volunteer for an event online as well as links to the Booster Club Google site. Reminder dues are $20 per year and anyone within the community can join the Booster Club!
