La Harpe Lions Recognize Their President, Jerry Burford, at June 5th Meeting

The La Harpe Lions meet June 5, 2023 with 17 members in attendance. The turn-out for the May 27th Lions cookout was very good. The Lions sincerely appreciate the community for their support!

Another cookout is planned for June 24th. Because the Ribeye sandwiches have been out selling the pork sandwich, we have decided to add Ribeye’s to the line up for the La Harpe 4th of July Celebration.

The La Harpe Lions voted to donate $1,000 to the La Harpe Veterans Memorial Tablet Addition Project. The La Harpe Lions voted to start helping with the Meals on Wheels by going after the meals on Thursdays.

President Jerry Burford was given a plaque (presented here by La Harpe Lion Secretary Jim King) for Jerry's service as head of the La Harpe Lions. President Burford will begin his fifth year as president this July first!
