Adam and Melanie Annegers own and operate Berry Creek Labs. After moving back to Henderson County area, where Adam originally grew up, they decided to grow their dog business and invest into the community by opening up a Boarding, Grooming and Breeding Business.
Berry Creek Labs officially opened in September of 2022, once the new building was completed and the licenses for boarding and breeding facility were obtained.
The main passion and focus are breeding high quality British Labrador retrievers as well as English cocker spaniels, while taking care of clients pets.
"Quality is much more important than quantity. We ensure all of our dogs are being health tested and perform in the field before they are considered for our breeding program," Melanie said.
Adam and Melanie train their own dogs and offer training services for their clients. The State of the Art facility was designed to incorporate enough space to offer boarding and grooming services for dogs and cats.
The large 4’ by 10’ kennels are located in a climate controlled room. Cozy heated floors in the winter and A/C during hot summer months keep the animals comfortable.
The kennels are set up to allow for easy cleaning and disinfection. Safety is their main priority. A fire alarm system with security cameras throughout the building allow for constant supervision and ensuring everyone is safe and sound.

Don’t let the name fool you, they are happy to take care of all breeds. Adam and Melanie have a long history and years of experience in animal husbandry and have a big passion of taking care of your furry friends.
In June 2023 the business added grooming services, which are offered by Gina Heikes.
This addition to the Berry Creek Labs team complements the services, which they are very excited about. You may also meet Gina during drop off and pick up since she helps out taking care of the boarding clients as well.
With years of experience in animal nutrition, Berry Creek Labs decided to partner with Alpha dog nutrition to distribute their supplements as well as Inukshuk dog food to provide a solid nutrition for your dogs, "a no brainer since the dogs at Berry Creek Labs love it," Melanie said.
For boarding they offer drop off and pick up hours 7 days a week including Saturday and Sundays. Grooming is by appointment only.
