Country Christmas Announces Prize Winners

The organizers of the La Harpe Country Christmas would like to let all of the businesses, organizations, and individuals who supported this year’s celebration know how much it was appreciated.

"Attendance, participation, and feedback from the event were overwhelmingly positive. The purchase of the new LED light displays for the city park would not have happened without those who donated to the project," said Mary Ann Siegworth, one of the parade organizers.

"The lights will be left up for the community to enjoy for the remainder of the holiday season," she said.

"The feature parade was phenomenal with exceptional creativity displayed," she added.

Winners of the golf cart/UTV competition were as follows:

Business Bingo was another event that garnered excellent participation on behalf of La Harpe and the surrounding area. The following prizes were awarded:

Finally, this year’s impressive Festival of Trees yielded a wide variety of entries that brought in over 100 votes. The winner of this year’s People’s Choice for the Best Tree and a $40 Amazon gift card was Beautiful & Beloved by Jamie Huston. We are so grateful to all who attended, helped with, and participated in the Country Christmas celebration. If anyone would like to donate toward next year’s event or the park display, deposits can be made to the “Country Christmas” account at the Fortress Bank.
