La Harpe City Council Hears Requests

November 13th Meeting

Laurie Myers and Barb Duffie asked the La Harpe City council to consider painting Pickleball lines on the basketball court in the City Park.

This passed with a 3 to 2 vote, with Shumaker, Stevens, and Donaldson voting yes, and Lenix and Clover voting no.

Also, the board approved a request to allow Trevor Finch to trap otters and muskrats at the La Harpe reservoir.

Both items were on the agenda for discussion and approval at the November 13th regular monthly meeting held at the La Harpe City Hall,

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm and Dave Clover made the motion to appoint Alderman Shumaker as Mayor Pro Tem. Lenix seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

The School Superintendent complimented Lynn Hoyt on how things have been handled at the school.

Scott Rosson reported a cat issue in town, but not really pertinent to the Police Department.

City Clerk McPeak reported the Police Department has the Parade Resolution for the Christmas Parade for December 5, 2023. She also had a Motor Fuel Tax bill from Midwest Express & Hay Grinding for $950.95.

Treasurer Graves informed the council she had to renew Microsoft 360.
