The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.

The Quill received a letter written to the La Harpe Christian Church by an inmate from the Kewanee L.S.R.C. after a group came to La Harpe and was allowed to help out with the clean-up. We thought we would share the letter of appreciation with our readers:
July 20, 2023 -
On behalf of everyone here at Kewanee L.S.R.C. I would like to thank you. We came out there to help you and in turn you helped us more than you could ever imagine.
Sometimes in here I get a sense of not belonging and you guys (the whole town) showed me that I do belong. You opened your doors and showed no judgement. It was a lot of hard work, but it was an honor.
It was an experience and La Harpe is a town I will never forget. I only hope in your eyes we did the job we set out to do. I hope we made a lasting impression.
I am not saying everyone inside these walls have the same agenda, but I will say that there are a lot of good people in here just looking for the opportunity to do the next right thing.
Together all things are possible.
