by Shelly Gittings

Everybody ready? We are just one short week away from the annual Stronghurst Booster Club’s 2022 Fall Festival!

We will welcome in our third season of the year. Can you feel it? Can you smell it? Cooler nights, sweater weather, and football…apple picking, campfires with hot dogs roasting and marshmallows toasting!

See the brilliant colors that Autumn brings…golden kernels of corn being harvested, orange and red leaves floating to the ground soon to be piled high for children to jump in, shades of orange, blue, white and yellow will adorn porches, yards and patios in the various shapes and sizes of pumpkins and gourds.

Oh, don’t forget about Indian corn, how many wonderful colors on those?

Sorry for getting carried away. On to the festivities.

You can start early with breakfast at The American Legion where the Lions Club will be serving biscuits n gravy, orange juice, coffee and milk from 7am to 10am. Carry outs will be available. This breakfast is a free-will donation and proceeds will be used for Lions Club’s many Community Projects.
