Booster Club Reschedules Christmas Open House

The Stronghurst Booster Club met on November 14th, at 4:30 p.m.

Christmas Open House discussion: Since the West Central high school football team was playing in the championship game on Friday, November 18th in Monmouth, and with the Christmas Open House being on the same night of November 18th as well, there had been a lot of feedback that the event should be changed in order to accommodate attendance at the football game.

Much discussion took place on whether to reschedule, cancel, or keep the Christmas Open House date as set.

A majority of Representatives from businesses and persons involved with the Christmas Open House were present. Char Fisher made the motion to reschedule the Stronghurst Open House to Friday, December 2, 2022 from 5-7 p.m., Diana Doran 2nd the motion, all in favor and motion was approved.

The 2022 Stronghurst Christmas Open House was be rescheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022 from 5-7 p.m.

October meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

The report was approved as presented. New bills for the Christmas Open House were submitted and approved for payment.

Christmas Bingo is planned for December 9th, 6-8 p.m. There will be popcorn and drinks. Theme Ugly Christmas sweater.

For next year some decorations need worked on- Christmas trees in the pots, and it is needed to clean and organize decorations in the back of the Stronghurst Community Senior Center.

Thoughts were given on doing the Christmas in July Rummage sale again in 2023.

Next Booster Club meeting will be Monday, December 12th, 2022 4:30 p.m. at the American Legion in Stronghurst. All are welcome to attend.
