Mike and Lisa Bice of Tulsa, Oklahoma recently came for a week's visit to Mike's cousin's and his wife, Michael and Dessa Rodeffer of Stronghurst to experience and help with the fall harvest of corn and soybeans in the Burnside, La Harpe and Stronghurst areas. Lisa made sure she took "The Quill" along to capture the fun experience with Michael and his good helper David Anderson who runs the combine. They were up early and worked until after dark helping out wherever they could for the week. Lisa drove a truck, hauling grain to the Burnside elevator and Mike drove the tractor pulling the auger wagon. From left is Dave Anderson, Lisa and Mike Bice, and Michael Rodeffer.
