Aunt Polly

Hello folks,

I am enjoying the sights and smells of Spring coming to the Midwest? The grass is turning greener and my flowers are beginning to bloom with cheerie bright colors. Spring flowers cheer us up at a time we most need it. Daffodils are popping up all over my yard which makes a wonderful interruption to the current news of the day.

The pussy willow shrubs are on display with their fuzzy catkins, tulips bright colors bring joy, the dainty crocus blooms and soon the sweet smell of the lilac bushes will come, and I am hoping my yellow forsythia bush will bloom too, as it is a mystery to why sometimes it doesn't. Keeping it pruned is a big job but a nice man trimmed it for me this year. But it really isn't Spring for me until I see the Magnolia tree in full bloom.

I am anxious for the open houses at nurserys and flower shops, and as I look at what we have in America, we are truly blessed. Hearing of the Ukraine crises, hundreds of thousands of refugees displaced, breaks my heart. Let's gather at church Sunday where we can pray for Peace and work together to help and love our neighbors! Hope to see you in church.

-Love, Aunt Polly

P.S. Hope to see you and your folks in church.
