Biggsville Village Clerk Judy Gravgaard reported that at the regular March 2nd Village of Biggsville's meeting March 2nd, the village's clean-up-day was announced set in place as June 4th. A dumpster will be placed by Home Sweet Home business located on Main Street and will be availabe 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
It was noted that tires, paint cans, batteries, old oil, refuse, electronics, leaves, branches or grass are not permitted.
There will be curbside pickup for appliances, for senior citizen 65 and older ONLY, call 309-598-0048. Please have items outside by the curb and ready to be picked up.
Ordinance #390 states that yards need to be clear of debris and there are no junk cars in the yard or on the street. Take advantage of the cleanup day and get your yards ready for spring.
Mayor Brian Sterett called the meeting in session at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and the invoices and minutes were accepted before the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.,
Members present were: Eric Craig, Kathie Curtiss, Casey Goff, Tammy Slater and Nanci Sterett. Becky Price was absent.
