Aunt Polly

Hello folks,

I am listening to the radio of all the news of the Russian invasion on the Ukrainian nation. It is so alarming to hear. These people are similar to us. They love their independence, they work, they pray, and want freedom and protection for their families. They are willing to give up everything to fight for it. Some living in neighboring Poland left their families to go back and fight for their homeland.

Another man said he was not afraid for his life, for it was meaningless without freedom for himself, his country, his family.

They believe in God and in the end they know almighty supreme God will overcome evil. I pray aid is sent to them.

When youngsters grew up in our neighborhood, we taught them to be kind, and not to get into other people's business, unless someone is being mean or hurting someone else. We taught them not to let bullies put fear into you where you can't do the right thing for the sake of justice.

Fear is the enemy. We must pray, and also we must not let a bully rule and get away with evil acts. If we do nothing to stop him, Putin will not stop. He will continue with this aggressive behavior.

I am praying for the Ukrainians. I hope you are too, but I am also hoping you do something. Write a letter to the President and to those in Congress. Tell them to help the Ukrainians with what ever equipment they need to fight this battle. Ukraine's leaders have continually asked for our help knowing the invasion would happen.

I heard a song on the radio yesterday where a man asked God, "Why God haven't you done something?" – the answer given from God was… "I did, I created you!" Keep praying for Ukraine. Ask yourself, what can I do?

Please come to church...pray. Bring friends, bring a Bible and thank God we have freedom to gather, to pray and to do what we do! Thank him for his countless blessings.

-Love, Aunt Polly

PS. Keep evil away by…

ending a quarrel, forgive, dismiss suspicion, trust more, give a soft answer, forgo a grudge, listen more, apologize when wrong, try to understand, examine your demands, think of someone else before yourself, be kind, be gentle, appreciate what others do, thank them, welcome a stranger, take pleasure in little things, laugh, love God with all your heart, love your neighbor as yourself....... Pray for Ukraine.
