K-9 Montana–Deputy Scott Albin

Meet K9 Montana, the newest member of the Henderson County Sheriff's office who sits alongside his new boss Scott Albin, a twenty year veteran of the Sheriff's office.

Deputy Albin and Montana will be working together full-time once certified in article searches, tracking, protection and drug searches.

Both the handler and the K-9 dog are always trained together in order to work together.

Henderson County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Matt Link contacted Matt Greenlief owner of Cedar Creek Kennels LLC in Monmouth and Greenlief graciously donated this fully-trained Belgian Malinois K9 to the Henderson County Sheriff's Dept.. Greenlief explains that

Cedar Creek Kennels provides social working dogs and specializes in police dog training. They also provides dog services, dog daycare, and obedience training, their website says.

Deputy Link said this program will be funded strictly from donations and seizure monies from past and future drug arrests.
