The Hancock County Board named an interim EMS Director at a special meeting Friday, Feb. 25. Following a 50-minute executive session, the board approved a resolution to place current EMS Director, Jennifer Meeks, on paid administrative leave.

The county board appointed Adam Doellman as Interim EMS Director at the will of the employer with his appointment anticipated to expire on March 22, unless otherwise extended.

Doellman’s wage was set at an hourly rate of $27 for the part time position.

In other action the board approved a mutual aid agreement among Adams, Brown, Pike, Schuyler and Hancock counties, similar to an agreement that had expired last fall. It states that named parties will provide extra assistance if possible with equipment and personnel at the request of others in the agreement.

After adjustment of some language since the regular board meeting Feb. 22, the county board approved the Sheriff’s Union Contract as presented for employees at the Sheriff’s Office.
