Approval Given To Purchase Trees For Lindo Field

At The Village of Biggsville’s June 1st board meeting, trees for Lindo Field were approved by the board and a decision as to where to plant them will need to be made.

The meeting, called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Biggsville Mayor Brian Sterett, opened with all present reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and it followed by the acceptance of the May minutes, current invoices and Treasurer’s report.

Streets/Water:

Two quotes were received for the water valves that need to be installed and the board approved Advances Plumbing to do the job.

Mike is waiting for the patch to arrive and then he will be doing the streets.

A motion was made to replace the sidewalks in front the Senior Housing which was approved.

Zoning:

Eric reported two zoning permits were issued for new fences.

Public Relations:

The town cleanup was reported as set for June 4, 2022.

New Business:

A tree on Arthur Street needs to be removed.

Nanci made a motion to have Lee Tree Service remove the tree and grind the stump, and Becky 2nd the motion and the motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned upon approval of the board at 8:15 p.m.

Members present were: Eric Craig, Kathie Curtiss, Becky Price, Tammy Slater and Nanci Sterett. Casey Goff was absent.
