The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Virginia Ross, Stronghurst and Tom Moss, a student at Morningside University, Sioux City, Iowa, visited the Canteen District in downtown North Platte and took the Quill along. During WWII, troop trains would stop at the depot (the North Platte Canteen) where volunteers from Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas served food to hungry soldiers. If traveling west on I-80, stop just off the Interstate to see the extensive memorial to service men and women as well as Canteen workers. When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along, and have your picture taken with it, and send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
