The Old South Henderson Church will resume holding its annual worship service this Sunday, Aug. 21st. Russell Liston will bring the message based on the sermon his father Rev. Richard Liston delivered on May 30, 1959. Leo Ramer’s Ecumenical Singers will provide special music. The service will begin at 10:15 a.m. and all are welcome to attend.
The church is located northwest of Biggsville at 1651 Township Road 1450 East. This is the 187th anniversary of the founding of the church in 1835 and the 168th year since the church building was completed. All Presbyterian Churches in the area and Monmouth College started from this church. It has been beautifully kept up.
