Bookend Grandsons

My last grandson was born on the same day of my first born grandson, so they both will be sharing birthdays every June 5th.

Silas Boaz Rodeffer was born the 4th child of Matthew and Kathryn Rodeffer of Spencerville, Indiana. He was welcomed home by two brothers Elijah and Asher, and a sister Selah. Silas shares his birthday with his cousin Andrew Scott (Drew) Postle, our first born grandson.

Drew moved from Stronghurst to Champaign, graduated at the University of Illinois, worked at Horizon Hobbies LLC in Champaign, selling everything from RC airplanes and drones to model trains. He was then hired at Atlas Model Railroad Company, Inc. in New Jersey that produces model trains, track and accessories in N, HO & O scales which Drew sells and services clients in hobby shops and stores worldwide.

Since he was driving home to visit his parents (Scott and Tami Postle of Stronghurst), Drew was able to stop by Spencerville, Indiana at his Uncle Matt's and Aunt Katie's and be the first to hold his cousin and birthday buddy, "Silas." No doubt we were all envious, but felt it was appropriate that Drew was the first to meet the little guy who shares his birthday.

June 5th brings double blessings for us and Katie calls them "our bookends."

Time will tell, but for now we're blessed with 24 grandchildren, 13 girls and 11 boys.
