The La Harpe City Council met for their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8th at the La Harpe City Hall.
Mayor Kat Hasten-Reed informed the council there has been vandalism at the La Harpe Cemetery.
The Mayor also noted that on November 11th, she planned to meet with IMEG representative Megan Crook and a Laverdiere representative at Jason Siegworth's property to discuss the drainage problems in his yard.
Hasten-Reed also reported the Council that La Harpe City Attorney Chris Scholz has sent a letter to Trotter Construction's attorney since there has not been any repairs done on the high service pumps at the water plant.
In other issues Hasten-Reed said she had been approached by a resident about a small dog situation in town and asked Police Chief Larry Finch to look into the problem.
Kat Hasten-Reed noted that Veterans Day was approaching and she wanted to thank all the Veterans and let them know that their service to our country was greatly appreciated.
City Clerk Lucretia McPeak asked the council to approve a motion to pay La Harpe Township $871.46 for salt, with the money coming out of the Motor Fuel Tax Fund. The Council unanimously approved the motion.
Treasurer Monalisa Graves informed the council she had met with the auditors.
Street employee Trevor Finch informed the council that he had picked up a window at a scrap yard for the dump truck for $20.00.
