La Harpe will have fireworks Sunday, July 4th

The La Harpe Park District will again be celebrating our America's Independence Day right on schedule Sunday – the fourth of July.

Hopefully, the day will bring with it sunshine and good weather, and with the recent rains, no threat of fires.

Come out to the La Harpe Park District grounds by the flag pole on the La Moine Valley Golf Course, located a block off Main Street, northeast of the Clubhouse and swimming pool.

7 a.m.–12 Noon is the LH Fire Dept. Breakfast at the Clubhouse.

10:30 am– Kids Block Race on Archer Ave. behind grade school, sponsored by Fortress Bank.

11 a.m.–Games near the Clubhouse by LH Caring Creations.

12 noon–Kids Pedal Tractor Pull near the Clubhouse sponsored by Alfred and Rex Huston.

12 noon – LH Pool Opens with FREE admission all day sponsored by the LH Park District.

5:00 p.m. – Inflatables on the football field sponsored by Love La Harpe.

5:00 p.m. – Pork Chops by the press box sponsored by the La Harpe Lions Club.

5:00 p.m. – Pie and Ice Cream by the Press Box sponsored by Food For Thought.

9:30 p.m.– Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and get ready for the show and Independence Day celebration of what the La Harpe Fire District advertises as "The Largest Fireworks Show in the Area!" on the La Moine Valley Golf Course, sponsored by the La Harpe Park District. Fireworks are scheduled to start at Dusk!
