Chris and Julie (Giffin) Ashton, of Omaha, Nebraska, took The Quill along for a picture in front of the Presbyterian Church of Stronghurst where her grandfather Rev. William John Giffin preached from August 1936 to October 1947. Julie's father, John A. Giffin graduated high school at Stronghurst HS in 1942 and went into business with Carl Jacobson where he met his wife who had come to town to teach at SHS. Julie and Chris was here for her mother's burial next to her father John at the Stronghurst Cemetery and to check out some of the places who mother had talked about.
