C.E. Perrine, Larry Thompson's grandfather, opened an agency within his grocery store in Raritan, Illinois in the 1940s.
Perrine Red and White Grocery sold groceries, insurance, and also housed the post office.
In 1955, Gerald Thompson took over the insurance agency and ran it until Larry Thompson came on board in 1974.
Larry and Linda Thompson purchased the agency from Gerald in 1981.
Steve Killey purchased the agency from Larry and Linda Thompson in 2010.
Larry's grandfather, Cliff Thompson also sold insurance. Cliff was an early agent of the Henderson County Farm Bureau.
Steve and Sherry Killey live North of Roseville with their three children- Koby, Malia, and Maelii.
Thompson Insurance Agency, Inc. sells and services all lines of insurance including- Home, Auto, Farm, Umbrella, Surety Bonds, Crop Hail, Federal Crop Insurance, Business, and Life. Currently, they are not selling Health Insurance.
Their most popular policies are Farm Insurance and Crop Insurance.
No appointment is necessary at Thompson Insurance Agency, and the office is open, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
